Handing over safely
Most handovers are completely uneventful. A few simple habits keep it that way.
Meet somewhere sensible
Meet in an appropriate public location where possible. Shopping centres, coffee shops and busy parking areas work well.
Inspect before you pay
Open the box, count the pieces and test what can be tested. Compare it to the listing.
Never share OTPs, banking passwords or PINs
No one from Fylo, a bank or a buyer will ever need these. Anyone who asks is up to something.
Sellers must confirm cleared funds themselves
Check your own banking app or statement. Don't rely on what you're shown on someone else's phone.
A proof-of-payment screenshot is not confirmation
Screenshots and emails can be faked or reversed. Cleared money in your account is the only proof.
Leave if it feels off
You're allowed to walk away from a handover at any point, for any reason. No item is worth the risk.
Report suspicious behaviour to Fylo
If someone pressures you, changes the story or asks for payment upfront, tell us.
Something went wrong?
Tell us what happened and we'll look into it. Fylo handles reports manually during V0, so a real person will read it.
