Authenticity, Counterfeit & Ownership Policy
You may only sell what you own, and it must be what you say it is.
1. Our approach
Fylo relies primarily on seller declarations and submitted evidence, not independent physical inspection, unless we say otherwise for a specific listing.
2. Seller declarations
Sellers declare, to the best of their knowledge, whether an item is genuine: "Genuine to the best of my knowledge" or "Unsure / unable to confirm." Category-relevant evidence (publisher/manufacturer, edition, product code, identifying marks, packaging photographs) may also be requested.
3. What Fylo does and doesn't verify
Fylo may review submitted evidence and reject questionable listings, but does not currently operate a professional authentication service. You'll see language such as "Seller declared genuine," "Required identifying information supplied," or "Listing evidence reviewed by Fylo" — never "authenticated by Fylo" or "guaranteed genuine," unless a formal authentication service is actually used.
4. Ownership
By submitting an item, a seller confirms they legally own it or have the right to sell it. Fylo may internally log serial numbers or identifying information for marketplace-integrity purposes; see our Privacy Policy for how this is handled.
5. Suspicious listings
Fylo may reject, pause, or remove a listing where we reasonably suspect it's counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented, including following a user report.
6. Buyer inspection still matters
Inspect carefully before paying and decline if something doesn't match the listing.
7. Reporting concerns
See our Complaints, Disputes & Reporting Policy.
